Development of multi-DoF wearable robotic arm Wearable robot, Shoulder disarticulation prosthesis, EMG, Cyborg, Limb augmentation 2016/04-Present The purpose of this research is to develop a lightweight, high-power, wearable humanoid robotic arm and apply it to an electric shoulder disarticulation prosthesis. Furthermore, based on multimodal signal information, we develop an intelligent control method that enables high DoF body manipulation with low DoF control input.
Development of multi-coupled tendon driven robot Coupled tendon driven, wire driven, Actuator, Transmission mechanism 2017/04-Present The purpose of this study is to develop a mechanism to freely transmit and superimpose the actuator output of a robot to each joint. By combining a compact, lightweight, and high-power wire traction mechanism and a variable stiffness mechanism, a lightweight, high-power, and flexible robotic body is realized.
Elucidation of functional rule in human musculoskeletal system using anthropomimetic robot Humanize robotics, Cyborg, Computational neuroscience, Anthropomimetic robot, Musculoskeletal system 2019/04-Present The purpose of this study is to develop an anthropomimetic robot that mimics the human musculoskeletal structure, and to compare its motor ability with that of a robot in which only one body parameter has been changed, thereby approaching the elucidation of the functional role of the original human musculoskeletal system. Through this process, we aim to develop robotic hardware with human-like physical movement capabilities.
